Cornwalls respects people’s privacy. All our staff are required to read this policy and understand their responsibilities when dealing with personal information.  In this policy, “you” refers to our clients who are individuals and to other individuals about whom we collect personal information.

In this policy:

  • personal information refers to any information or any opinion, about an identified individual or an individual who is reasonably identifiable whether the information or opinion is true or not and whether recorded in a material form or not; and
  • sensitive information refers to information about a person’s racial or ethnic origin, political opinions or associations, religious beliefs or affiliations, philosophical beliefs, trade and professional memberships, sexual orientation or practices, criminal record or health, genetic or biometric information.

 

This collection statement is issued by Cornwalls ABN 19 738 311 557 (a limited partnership) (referred to in this statement as Cornwalls, we, us or our). 

This collection statement applies to personal information that we collect when a booking is made for our Innovation Lab (Booking).  The collection statement is directed to all individuals whose personal information is submitted in connection with the Booking (each a Relevant Individual).

All individuals, bodies corporate, partnerships or other forms of organisation (each an Entity) making a Booking must ensure that:

  • this collection statement is made available to each Relevant Individual; and
  • to the extent that the personal information about a Relevant Individual is sensitive information(e.g. catering order may involve the collection of health information or information about religious beliefs or affiliations), the Entity has obtained the consent of that Relevant Individual before submitting that information to us in connection with a Booking.

Types of information we collect

When a Booking is made, we’ll collect the first and last name and contact details (email address and telephone number) and if applicable business name of the individual making the Booking.  We may also collect the names and dietary requirements of that Relevant Individual and other Relevant Individuals.

Why we collect, use and disclose your information

We collect, use and disclose information about Relevant Individuals to administer the Booking, including catering arrangements.  We may also use the information we collect to send you marketing materials about our Innovation Lab or our services more generally. 

What happens if we don’t receive the personal information?

If we don’t receive the personal information about Relevant Individuals, we may not be able to grant and administer the Booking. 

To whom do we disclose personal information? Are those recipients overseas?

We may give Relevant Individuals’ personal information our service providers (they may have cloud based facilities that utilise computer servers located overseas);  Our service providers have servers located in United states of America.
